This trip to Tinakula Volcano is one of the most exciting volcano tours in the Pacific. The volcano has an impressive stratovolcano shape and is a striking feature rising north of Santa Cruz Island in Temotu Province. Few people travel to ths volcano, but the rewards will be great if you visit this beautiful and untouched region of the Pacific. Tour departs from Santa Cruz Island in the eastern Solomons.
Trip is rated moderate level. The trip involves taking a motorised canoe across open ocean and if conditions permit, we can make a landing on the volcano. The trip is conditions dependent. Strong winds, ocean swells, or volcanic activity may prevent a landing. Temotu Province is the least visited of the Solomon Islands regions.
TRIP DETAILS: Participants arrange for their own flights to Ambrym Island. Trips commence every week.
